Cooktop Repair
Gas, electric, and induction cooktops — igniters, spark modules, induction coils, and glass-top element replacement.

What we see on this line
- One burner won’t light, others work fine
- All burners click but won’t ignite
- Induction element reports error code
- Glass top cracked or element burned through
- Downdraft vent fan dead or weak
- Sealed burner valve leaking gas
If your symptom isn’t on this list, call anyway — these are just the patterns we see most often on cooktop repair calls across the Bay Area.
How the diagnosis works
- Arrival window. A two-hour window chosen at booking — we text 30 minutes out with the technician’s name and van number.
- Symptom walkthrough. Five minutes on the phone or at the door to confirm what we’ve been told and narrow the likely fault.
- Instrument check. Pressure gauge, multimeter, thermocouple, manufacturer diagnostic mode — whatever the platform needs. No guessing.
- Written quote. Part numbers, labor hours, total. Signed before any billable work starts.
- Repair. Completed same-visit in over 90% of calls. Parts sourced overnight for the rest.
What it typically costs
$180–$520. Induction coils and control boards on Wolf, Thermador, and Miele cooktops are the higher end; standard gas cooktop service clusters in the low-$200s.
We test every repaired gas cooktop with a manometer at the orifice — if the pressure isn’t right, the fix isn’t done.
